The CMV Group has opened its first sustainable vehicles hub in Hallam, Victoria, elevating its position within the Australian truck market as one of the key players in the country’s zero-emissions transport revolution.
The business, to be known as Sustainable Vehicle Solutions will initially offer both the sale and servicing of the leading Chinese new energy truck brand, Foton, with more brands set to complement the offering in the near future.
The multi franchise hub, which will focus purely on transport solutions aligning to new energy technologies such as battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell electric will service both the Victorian and South Australian markets, where there is strong appetite for this product.
Sustainable Vehicle Solutions will represent Foton’s zero emission vehicles (ZEV), in line with the CMV Group’s strategic plan as it continues to expand, responding to both customer interest and environmental demand.
CMV Group Managing Director, Paul Crawford said, “We’re firmly focused on supporting our customers in the transition to more renewable energy sources and this investment into a sustainable vehicle solutions hub is just one step in that process”
“The hub will offer our customers an alternative to the traditional combustion engine and allow them to explore technologies which will not only reduce their environmental footprint but also offer cost efficiency when it comes to running and maintenance costs”
“Initially we will focus on the 4.5T to 6T cab chassis models and expect to expand that range over time”
Foton Trucks offer customers a 5 year, 200,000km bumper to bumper manufacturer warranty, providing transport operators with peace of mind as they begin to expand their fleets to include EV product.
