The Sustainable Vehicle Solutions (SVS) team were excited to host their second drive day in South Australia, in collaboration with Master Builders SA. With a strong turnout of guests, it was fantastic to see the appetite for electric vehicles continue to grow within South Australia.
Held at the picturesque Sunnybrae Estate in Regency Park, guests were treated to an exclusive opportunity to get behind the wheel of the new Ford F-150 Lightning, Australia’s only right-hand drive 4×4 electric ute, as well as the innovative Foton T5 electric truck.
As guests entered Sunnybrae they were greeted by a line up of these impressive electric vehicles. It was great to see everyone take the opportunity to look through them in the warm autumn sun before heading into the Ìkos Pavillion.
Once seated, guests were welcomed to the event by Sustainable Vehicle Solutions General Manager, Joe Di Santo. Joe provided guests with an in-depth overview of the Ford F-150 Lightning electric ute and the Foton T5 electric truck, including their capabilities, point of difference from other EV’s on the market and the benefits they provide to businesses.
Joe emphasised that the main priority for our team would be to ensure that the electric vehicles were fit for purpose and that SVS would work closely with each business to help them determine this.
CMV Group Executive Director, Jonathan Crawford, then took the opportunity to thank everyone for being a part of the Drive Day and how SVS plays an important role in the CMV Group’s focus on sustainable transport.
It was also great to have Neil Wilkinson from Master Builders SA join us and speak about our valued partnership with the organisation and how this can benefit its members.
Following Jonathan and Neil, Trung Nguyen, Sustainable Vehicle Solutions Sales Manager – SA, spoke to guests about how he is committed to supporting customers with finding an EV solution for their business and the benefits of electric vehicles. He then took the opportunity to give everyone a briefing on how the test drives would run – we were excited to get everyone behind the wheel!
Once the formalities had concluded, drivers were split into two groups. The first group headed out to test drive the vehicles with the second group enjoying a delicious lunch while socialising, before switching over so everyone had the chance to drive one of our impressive EVs.
A total of four EVs were available to drive – Two Ford Lightning electric utes and two Foton T5 electric trucks. Guests were encouraged to experience vehicles as both a driver and as a passenger so that they could experience the EV’s from different perspectives. They were also given the opportunity to speak with Joe and Trung to ask any questions they had.
Reflecting on the day, Joe was extremely proud to have the opportunity to show off just some of the advantages of our electric vehicle range and the benefits they provide to businesses.
“It’s an Important day for the business to bring everyone together to understand that commercial vehicles are now available with zero emission.
“Sustainable Vehicle Solutions are here to help customers with the transition to electric vehicles,” said Joe.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Sustainable Vehicle Solutions Electric Vehicle Drive Day in SA – we hope you enjoyed experiencing these vehicles. We look forward to hosting more events in the near future!
